Murray N. Rothbard is the one who has most eloquently exposed – following Molinari – the greatest non-sequitur of classical liberalism: that the market – even though the best way to solve the general problem of wealth production – fails when it comes to law and protection services.

The same man has adequately recovered the natural law tradition, laying the foundations of a scientific discipline of ethics having at its core the concept of private property – fundamental for both law and economics.

The rothbardian analysis, marked by logical, methodological and moral intransigence, sheds light on the justness and efficiency, the realism and feasibility of a private property order – the system from which institutionalized aggression has been extirpated. Ultimately, a decisive rebuttal of the theories based on the “fecundity of evil” – undertaken moderately, by an elite – as the solution to the perennial problems of social cooperation is provided. In a fortunate way, the rothbardian theory resonates with the aspirations of the Holy Fathers of the Church, clarifying the external institutional framework (the only one, actually) compatible with the spiritual endeavor of virtue.
